Roselyne Dupetitpré

Roselyne Dupetitpré is a French International selling artist based in Angers, France. Artist statement: I initially experimented with figurative art. However, in 2011, I became captivated by abstraction, and more precisely by the lyrical abstract art tradition. Since then, it became an essential part of my life, just like a vital breath, a necessary meditation. Guided by silence and solitude, my artwork is all about us, about life. It is a constant quest for light, for breath: dark space of cosmos, poetry, nature, dreams. Above all, the essence of my work is freedom. With energy and passion, my painting comes in movements. Cracks, impastos, collages and casts structure my composition. I have developed a deep and intimate relationship with materials. From a wild start, a subtle game of colours emerges. My palette, bright but restrained, offers many colour ranges and lighting effects. The sometimes explosive meeting of opposites gives birth to a harmony, both visual and sensitive. Inspiration will appear on its own while painting. I move alone on my creative path, with no intention except the creative act. Influenced by Eastern philosophy and guided by the pictorial works of Chinese artists Zao Wou-Ki and Chu Teh-Chun, I see my paintings as an open window, a mirror of the soul full of life's vibrations.
