Khrystyna Kozyuk

Khrystyna Kozyuk is a Ukrainian-born artist living and working in Sedona, Arizona. Her vibrant, abstract paintings are defined by bold color, fluid texture, and organic forms inspired by nature and lived experience. Using layered, diluted oil paints on large canvases, she creates a strong sense of movement and depth, inviting viewers into immersive, emotionally resonant landscapes. Khrystyna believes that travel, cultural exchange, and fully lived experience are the fuel behind her creative vision. Born in Chortkiv, Ukraine, and raised among rivers, lakes, and mountains, Khrystyna developed an early connection to color and form—especially vivid electric greens. Encouraged by her mother and taught by her grandfather, she began painting murals on her family’s kitchen walls and selling artwork to tourists by the age of eleven. A top prize in an international children’s art competition led her to Wawel Royal Castle, where encountering the monumental works of Jan Matejko solidified her desire to pursue art professionally. At sixteen, she moved to Lviv to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the National Wood Technology University, deeply inspired by the city’s architecture, museums, and artistic culture. In 2005, Khrystyna immigrated to the United States. Starting from scratch, she learned English while working night jobs, eventually transitioning to painting full time by 2012. Her work has since been exhibited internationally, with a strong presence in Chicago, and shown at major events including the Paris Expo, New York Expo, Spectrum Miami, Luxembourg Art Fair, and SOFA Chicago. She also participated in the inaugural International Artist Residency at Château d’Orquevaux in France, where her signature style fully emerged. With over 400 original works in collections worldwide, Khrystyna’s art continues to bring color, joy, and inspiration to audiences across the globe.
