Sergei Inkatov
Sergei Inkatov was born in Baku, Azerbaijan in 1971, and now lives in Estonia. In 1987 he studied at Baku Art College, and in 1992 he graduated from Venetsianov Art College in Tver, Russia. Sergei is a very successful contemporary artist, and exhibits widely throughout Europe, and has won many prestigious awards. Artist statement: I believe my art way was destined from above. As far back as I can remember, I always used to paint at home and school. I feel painting chose me and not the other way around. I suppose this is some kind of mission in order to enable me to show the world’s beauty and richness in its wonderful forms, reflected on canvas. My favourite means of self-expression is using oil on canvas. This skill gives me artistic freedom and I am always challenging myself and continuing to learn and experiment. Painting for me is one of the best human inventions as it allows us to express ourselves and share our thoughts with the viewer.View artists spotlight
