Rosario d’Espinay Saint-Luc

Rosario d’Espinay Saint-Luc is a very successful contemporary abstract artist and exhibits widely throughout Europe, and has won many prestigious awards. She uses acrylics, pigments, inks and volcanic sands employing mixed techniques. From the Cauca Valley in Colombia where she was born via the Ecuadorian Andes, and from there to Provence where she resides today, Rosario’s life is a story of upheaval. Through all these years nature has been her sanctuary, her refuge, and little by little, as her drive aesthetically and creatively emerged in her consciousness, a common thread appeared to her. Painting irrepressibly leads her to recombine all the pieces of her life: her forgotten roots, her exile, her happiness as a mother and her accomplishments as a woman. Her abstract works form a link between her history, nature and her connection with motherhood and humanity. ‘The search for light, rhythms and intensity are the foundations of her art’ Committed to the preservation of our planet, her abstract art explores the impact of the elements and vital energy in the course of our lives within our biosphere. She is constantly creating work during her travels throughout nature around the world.
